Two Lexington hospitals announce expansion plans costing $64.4 million

The University of Kentucky Hospital has filed a request with the state to add 141 acute care beds to its existing total of 724 beds at a cost of $50 million. And, Baptist Health Lexington filed a request to add 43 acute care beds, bringing its total to 434 beds. The cost for that project is $14.4 million.
