WASHINGTON, DC: Hopkins Names Sibley Memorial Hospital CEO

Richard (Chip) O. Davis, Ph.D., has been appointed president of Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine. It is a non-profit, 318-bed acute care community hospital. Dr. Davis currently serves as vice president for Patient Safety and executive director for Ambulatory Services at Johns Hopkins Medicine.  He joined Johns Hopkins in 1993 and demonstrated leadership ability by establishing the Johns Hopkins Medicine Center for Innovation. He will assume his new role on July 6, succeeding Robert L. Sloan, who will retire after 27 years as president and CEO of Sibley.
