Eight months after announcing its plans, All Children's Hospital appears to be just days away from officially becoming part of the prestigious Johns Hopkins Health System. The hospital has sent out invitations to community leaders and others to gather at the hospital's main entrance at 10 a.m. April 4. The invitation reads: "Come join the All Children's Family as we celebrate a new chapter in our hospital's history — joining forces with Johns Hopkins Medicine." All Children's spokeswoman Ann Miller said the deal has not been finalized, but "we're hopeful that it will be finished by that point. We're committed to doing everything we can to make it happen." Miller would not disclose details of the event, but about a dozen top Hopkins officials are expected to be there, including Edward Miller, MD, dean and CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Ronald R. Peterson, president of the Johns Hopkins Health System.
