FL hospital CEOs make their case for southern expansion

Sarasota Memorial CEO David Verinder and Venice Regional Bayfront Health CEO John McLain each made their pitch Monday evening as to why their hospital is well suited to build a new complex in south Sarasota County. Verinder talked about the move to open the facility as a natural progression for the public hospital, which has built a network of outpatient care in south county—including an urgent care center in Venice and freestanding emergency room in North Port.
