MCH pays $5.2 million for hospitalists

The proposed budget was approved Sept. 26 by a 4-2 vote, but two board members who voted against approving the budget, said they felt more changes could have been made - especially since the hospital is in a financial crisis. One suggested a way they could have saved money is by having residents from Texas Tech's Family Medicine and Internal Medicine departments take over more of the hospitalists' work.
