Memorial Healthcare System (FL) board finalizes contract for new CEO

The seven-member board was unanimous in its approval of the contract, despite contentious negotiations over four public meetings, and was eager to finalize the replacement of the Frank Sacco, the district's longtime leader. Aurelio Fernandez, 64, will make $790,760 in base pay annually under the terms of the six-year deal. He will be eligible for annual short term incentive bonuses of up to 30 percent and a one-time long-term incentive bonus of up to 20 percent.
