No opioids, please: A growing movement lets patients refuse prescriptions

A growing number of states are enabling residents to notify medical professionals that they do not wish to be prescribed the powerful painkillers. Connecticut and Alaska are two of the latest considering legislation that would create a "non-opioid directive" patients can put in their medical files.
