Parkland Hospital narrows CEO search to four

The Parkland Health & Hospital System Board of Managers has narrowed the number of candidates under consideration for its CEO position to four. The candidates are: Pete Delgado, CEO of LAC+USC Healthcare Network, Los Angeles, Calif; Wright L. Lassiter III, CEO of Alameda County Medical Center, Oakland, Calif; Walter "Ted" Shaw, interim executive vice president and chief financial officer of Parkland Health & Hospital System, Dallas; Larry E. Volkmar, CEO of Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, Phoenix, Ariz. The board narrowed the field after first-round interviews during board meetings last month, and announced the finalists Monday evening. The second round of interviews is expected to occur over the next several weeks.
