Report slams Broward Health management; CEO decision postponed

An outside report on Broward Health portrayed an institution in which quarreling senior managers engage in a "pervasive pattern of personal destruction" and an "extraordinary amount of blame-shifting" over failures to fix problems that resulted in a $70 million federal fine. The organization's board used the scathing report as one reason for an abrupt decision Wednesday to postpone indefinitely a vote to choose a new chief executive.
