Both Marin General Hospital and Sutter Health officials declared victory Tuesday after a court-appointed arbitrator ordered Sutter to pay Marin General $21.5 million. Marin Superior Court Judge Verna Adams had ordered the binding arbitration after the new Marin General Hospital Corp. filed suit in August 2010. Marin General Hospital Corp. accused Sutter Health of illegally taking $120 million in profits from Marin General Hospital before it returned control of the hospital to the Marin Healthcare District in June 2010.
