The six top executives of Tacoma's largest private employer, MultiCare Health System, made more than $500,000 each last year, new figures filed with the state show. They were led by MultiCare President Diane Cecchettini, whose total base salary, bonuses, incentives, deferred compensation and non-taxable benefit package totaled $1,442,412. That amount was almost $50,000 more than the MultiCare CEO made in 2012, a 3.5 percent raise for the veteran hospital administrator. Cecchettini retires from that position June 30. The compensation for the head of the five-hospital, 11,000-employee health network was in line with other private, nonprofit health system administrators in the Puget Sound area.
