Doctor’s aide suspended over pill theft charges

A physician's assistant accused of taking pills from patients at a Folsom pain clinic was suspended from practicing on Thursday, after a judge ruled that he could cause "serious injury" to the public.

The physician's assistant, Sergey A. Nemolyaev, was ordered to stop working and stay out of medical offices until at least Sept. 21, when another hearing will be held.

Nemolyaev did not attend the disciplinary hearing before administrative law judge Jonathan Lew in Sacramento, and he could not be reached for comment.
