Here's how doctors may have saved Cincinnati firms $32M

Cincinnatians with diabetes are doing a better job of managing the chronic disease, and that could translate into millions of dollars in savings on health care costs that would have been incurred by local companies, according to the Health Collaborative. About 35 percent of Cincinnati-area adults with diabetes were in control of the disease last year, compared with the 29 percent reported for 2012, according to new data posted to the nonprofit group's website. That means 3,600 more area residents are managing their condition as well as possible, according the Health Collaborative, which includes health care providers, area employers and government officials.
