Medical radiation is a growing concern

Americans get the most medical radiation in the world, and the average American's dose has grown sixfold over the last couple of decades. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is now pushing industry and doctors to set standard doses for common tests such as CT scans. Another possibility is requiring device makers to print the radiation dose on each X-ray or other image, so patients and doctors can see how much was given.
