NH health officials issue scabies alert

New Hampshire medical officials issued a scabies alert on Friday. Health professionals said several patients and health care staff at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester clinics and Catholic Medical Center might have been exposed. The version the patient had is "a particularly infectious type because this person has a problem with his immune system," said William Goodman, the Chief Medical Officer at Catholic Medical Center, "So he represents a very big infectious concern for those who may have cared for him and those who were exposed to him by virtue of being on the same unit."
