Philly heart patient claims contaminated device caused stroke

The type of device used by surgeons at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center to cut into Kenneth Piechowski's chest, the Stöckert 3T, may have been contaminated in the German factory that made it, according to a study published last week by scientists from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
