$120,000 offered for developer to create hospital pricing app

Calling all app developers who could use an extra few thousand dollars: The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is holding a contest to develop an app that can help people better determine how much hospital services cost. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services recently released data on how much hospitals across the country charge for the 100 most common procedures and how much the federal insurance program ultimately paid. The data showed that costs for procedures varied widely, even among hospitals located near each other.
