University of Alabama Huntsville engineering student Kory Kasey, an intern in the quality department at Marshall Medical Centers in Marshall County, helped develop a system that cross references the patient interview, the medicines or list of medicines brought by the patient, the hospital's records from past visits, and a database of patient prescriptions from local pharmacies.
