The number of Americans who use personal health records has doubled since 2008, though remains small at 7% of all patients, according to a survey released by the California HealthCare Foundation.
The survey of about 1,850 Americans found that those who go to their computers to gain access to personal health records pay more attention to their medical needs and feel more connected to their doctors than those who solely rely on their doctors for their health information.
