This new technology will allow doctors to study birth in greater detail and understand why a growing number of women end up having cesarean sections. In the United Stations, 30 percent of births end in a c-section.
German doctors spent two years developing the MRI scanner specially designed to fit a full-bellied pregnant woman. (Most scanners are long narrow tunnels.) I do wonder if this special scanner only allows a mother to birth on her back--which can be quit uncomfortable especially if you're having a natural birth.
