iPhone app tells wait time in ER at the Hospital of Central Connecticut

The Hospital of Central Connecticut, which has campuses in New Britain and Southington, has launched a free iPhone application that will tell patients how long the wait is at both of its emergency rooms. It will also provide directions. The hospital also posts ER wait times on its Web site, as does Middlesex Hospital, which offers a comparison of the "door to doc" times for its emergency departments in Middletown, Essex, and Marlborough. Both hospitals measure wait times by the patient who has been waiting longest without being seen, the Hartford Courant reports.
