University of Kansas Hospital launches electronic record system

The University of Kansas Hospital has launched the first phase of its $50 million, "Optical Outcomes" electronic record system. The system features wheel-around computers that provide doctors, nurses and other health providers information such as allergies, test results and clinician notes.
