Wisconsin official says technology creates ‘magic moment’ for healthcare delivery

Kevin Hayden, secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, says his 23-year career in healthcare administration has allowed him to be on the ground floor of both the challenges and the opportunities arising from the use of electronic medical records. “I've got a pretty deep systems understanding of how work flows and how clinicians provide care and how the care teams provide care,” he explained.
