Medical records handier than ever

Hospitals in Carolinas HealthCare System are among the first in the nation to use a device called Palm Secure, to identify and register patients. It will be in all CHS hospitals by the end of the year, and CHS-owned doctors' offices and outpatient centers will have it by the end of 2008.
