MobileAccess announced today that it has deployed its wireless network at the University of Pennsylvania Health System's three hospitals. The wireless network will offer a broad range of wireless services throughout the 24 buildings that comprise the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Pennsylvania Hospital Campuses.
“We realize that wireless technologies and applications are increasingly vital tools for delivering high-quality patient care,” said Dominick DiPietro, director of telecom at The University of Pennsylvania Health System, in a press release. "As a result, we have been at the forefront of wireless technologies, pioneering multiple innovations and applications throughout all three hospitals. We are pleased with the MobileAccess solution as it enables our dedicated physicians and nurses to better serve the many thousands of patients we treat throughout the year. Now, our caregivers can communicate among each other and access patient information from anywhere in the facilities, including operating rooms, emergency rooms and patient areas."
