MEDecision signs Lovelace Health Plan
HealthLeaders News Brief, June 1, 2007
MEDecision, Inc., a provider of software, services and clinical content to healthcare payers, announced that it will provide collaborative care management technologies to Lovelace Health Plan of New Mexico, allowing the insurer to optimize healthcare management and delivery across its network of more than 190,000 members.
Lovelace Health Plan has contracted with MEDecision for its advanced medical management, data gathering and analytics, and clinical data exchange software, which are designed to identify patients and populations that would benefit from care management, and health and wellness intervention. Lovelace Health Plan has also licensed the MEDecision patient clinical summary, a clinically validated, payer-based electronic health record. It compiles a member’s current and historical medical data from doctors, labs, pharmacies and other sources that have been paid for by the member’s health plan and augments it with evidence-based medicine to create care plans and offer treatment opportunities. The patient clinical summary is delivered to clinicians at the point of care through a secure portal.
