Device interoperability conference set

A conference on “Improving Patient Safety through Medical Device Interoperability and Highly Reliable Software” is set for June 25-27. The event will be a joint workshop on high confidence medical devices, software, and systems. Speakers will address and medical device plug-and-pay interoperability. The program is hosted by Mass General Hospital/Partners HealthCare, CIMIT (Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology), and the University of Pennsylvania.
Speakers will include Robert Kolodner, national coordinator for health information technology and Mike Bainbridge, UK National Health Service, Connecting for Health program. Technical sessions will address interoperability issues, sensor networks, and medical device software.
