MeritCare Health System signs with Kryptiq
HealthLeaders News Brief, June 19, 2007
Kryptiq announced that Fargo, ND-based MeritCare Health System is implementing its software development kits to provide a common platform for secure communication with patients. MeritCare has incorporated Kryptiq's patient portal features into the MeritCare Web site so that patients can easily access secure messages and other personal health information. Additionally, MeritCare is now able to integrate Kryptiq's secure messaging with existing information systems across the organization. The technology will support connectivity for patients to MeritCare’s information system from GE. "Kryptiq has enabled us to deliver rich portal functionality through our Web site that enables patients to take a more active and empowered role in their own care," said Craig Hewitt, CIO for MeritCare in a statement. "In the future, we will be expanding our use of Kryptiq's secure messaging SDK to connect information systems at MeritCare beyond GE Centricity to increase collaboration across provider settings and with patients."
