Floyd Medical Center selects Lynx for ED charge capture
HealthLeaders News Brief, August 14, 2007
Lynx Medical Systems announced that Floyd Medical Center, Rome, GA, would implement its emergency department charging system.
"LYNX E/Point will help streamline workflows in our Emergency Department," said Teresa Provost, director of Revenue Management at Floyd, in a press release. The software employs the vendor's proprietary ED outpatient facility charging algorithm, which produces a visit level distribution that reflects patient acuity mix and resource utilization. The software automatically calculates the visit level for E/M charge assignment.
