Allscripts buys chunk of SourceMedical

EMR vendor Allscripts has acquired the practice management business of SourceMedical Solutions, Inc. According to a source at Allscripts, the acquisition of the SourceMedical Practice Management Division adds more than 650 physician practices to the Allscripts customer base, and provides access to SourceMedical's base of physicians affiliated with ambulatory surgery centers. Terms were not disclosed.
