New York City hospitals to make data public

The New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation plans to begin publicly releasing data on infection and death rates at its 11 hospitals. The plan is a response to concern about deadly, preventable and costly hospital-acquired conditions and pressure to increase transparency at hospitals.
