Prescription data firm sues over doctor confidentiality laws

Companies that collect, analyze and sell medical data are challenging laws in Maine and Vermont that make doctors' prescription-writing habits confidential. Their complaints were filed in federal courts, and ask to block the two states from enforcing the new laws which take effect Jan. 1, 2008.
