Shortage of health-IT workers is limiting progress

If health information technology is to fulfill its potential in helping to address challenges in the healthcare industry, the need for informatics professionals is only going to grow. Swiss physician Antoine Geissbuhler, liaison from the International Medical Informatics Association to the World Health Organization, called the IT professional shortage a "limiting factor in the development of eHealth programs."
