Diabetic Population to Double or Triple by 2050
One in 10 U.S. adults has diabetes now, but as many as one in three adults could have diabetes by 2050 if current trends continue, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention analysis shows.
I don't see anything mentioned in the article about how this trend correlates with the obesity trend. I think this is an important detail to include since obesity is a risk factor in developing type 2 diabetes.
