Robotic Scrub Nurses Could Boost OR Efficiencies
Hand gesture recognition and other robotic nurse innovations might one day help improve operating room efficiency, and reduce the length of a surgery and the potential for infection, researchers say.
Oh, yeah! Anything to get rid of nurses. The robots don't argue, call in sick, get cranky, miss work for snow days or have kid problems. And who is going to pay for these nurse replacements that will require two IT FTEs to maintain? Gimme a break . . .What we need is robotic physicians.
