Record Increase in State Medicaid Spending Projected



Continuing economic woes, increased Medicaid enrollment, and the end of the federal stimulus program will contribute to a projected 29% increase in states’ spending for the Medicaid program in 2012, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation survey.

Efficiency can go a long way for getting medicaid spending in line but unfortunately there's a tough love side to that too.
