The insurer has tapped into technology, social media, gamification, and behavioral health principals to create a site that's part motivation, part information, part action plan, and a whole lot of fun.

But based on www.compete.com, they only have 5,800-ish unique users as of last month and it worries me that all this talk about gamification and engagement is a little bit of a hype / bubble for consumer health apps.
