Greater Claims Data Scrutiny Could Save Hospitals $800M
A web-based analytics tool is being used by some California hospitals and one major payer to reduce claims denials, cut the claims cycle, and increase the electronic transmission of data. Why aren't more payers offering tools like this?
This is a great initiative, clearly providing evidence that sharing information between plans and provider reducse the adminstrative costs to both trading partners. I look forward to a follow-up once the central and northern California hospitals participate in POET.
