Saint Catherine Medical Center owes vendors an estimated $2.3 million according to the corrective action plan released by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. In addition, basic supplies are short and maintenance on critical pieces of medical equipment is behind schedule.

This is an incredibly sad story. It is amazing that this went on for so long- where are the checks and balances and accountability?
