HHS: 3.1M Young Adults Covered Under PPACA
The Department of Health and Human Services is touting the success of one of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's provisions, which extends health insurance coverage to young adults until the age of 26 under their parents' plans.
Please tell me why TriCare - the military insurance [INVALID] was exempted from the Affordable Care Act ( re: the provision which includes young adults up to age 26 on parents' policies). My daughter was dropped from her father's family coverage when she turned 23 this May. Why were these young people penalized?
