Evolution?...its the death of a noble profession. Doctors will become just a highly paid employee and will have to answer to the revenue goals of a large organization. Just ask the neurosurgeon who was fired from our local hospital. This model moves us farther away from patients interest not closer. Proud to be in an independant medium size group.

With ACA supporting multidisciplinary medicine and ACO's plus the cost of practicing, including new EHRs, malpractice insurance, gearing up for the 30 million new insured patients, etc., these doctors know that the solo practioner's days are numbers. This is just the evolution of medicine. We'll all survive just fine.
