As with most hospitals, we too have patients that frequent our Emergency Department. In an effort to show respect to the patients, our CNO/COO has us refer to these patients as "Superusers". This is a term that carries a familiar and positive connotation (as it relates to IT and the electronic medical record) so we tend to treat them better as we work to place them in the most appropriate setting.
