Mr. Margolis has worked with hospitals and health systems throughout the United States to develop results-oriented communications programs. He is an established expert who speaks nationally on the subject of healthcare marketing communications, branding/positioning strategies, turning perception into market share, and the impact of quality standards on marketing communications. Before joining SPM, Margolis was a principal with a nationally-recognized healthcare consulting firm. Previously, Margolis was an administrator with Lake Hospital System in Cleveland, OH.
Carol McCarthy is the founder and president of Remedy, a brand development company based in Chicago, IL. Remedy works exclusively with health-focused organizations, such as public health initiatives, healthcare providers, and medical services. Ms. McCarthy began her career at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center, where she spent eight years as a nurse, and then as Vice President of Nursing and Professional Services for a 300-bed hospital. In 1986, McCarthy started the healthcare division for Jeffrey Nemetz and Associates, a marketing communications firm in Chicago, IL. Inspired by this experience, McCarthy founded her own agency in 1989. Remedy’s vision is to change how people think and act about health by creating compelling, relevant brands for consumers and clinicians alike.
Jill S. Newham is the director of marketing for Edward Hospital & Health Services in Naperville, IL. She joined Edward in 1995 and is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and plans for Edward and its various entities. She is also responsible for management of Edward’s health promotions, retail services, and healing arts departments.
