Jocelyn Heid is the manager of physician recruitment and retention for the Duluth Clinic in Minnesota, which recruits approximately 100 physicians and practitioners annually for a 400+ physician group that includes 55 specialties providing care through a network of Minnesota and Wisconsin clinics and hospitals. She has 15 years of experience in physician/practitioner recruitment and HR staffing. In addition to her managerial role, Heid is currently involved in collaborative recruitment efforts among the multiple entities of Essentia, the parent company of SMDC Health System and other health systems of the upper Midwest.
Laura Screeney, CMSR, is currently an in-house physician recruitment consultant. During her 20 year career, Laura has developed and directed the in-house physician recruitment departments for healthcare organizations from coast to coast, including HIP of Greater New York (NY, NJ, PA & FL), Kaiser Permanente, Lifetime Health Medical Group (Buffalo, Rochester & Syracuse, NY), and the Alaska Native Medical Center.
Laura consults with various in-house physician recruitment departments across the United States to help them streamline their physician recruitment and retention processes by sharing proven physician recruitment principals and practices so that hospitals and medical groups are better positioned to address their physician staffing challenges in today’s marketplace.
