ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The upcoming closure of a senior health care clinic in Anchorage came as a surprise to many of the clinic's patients, many of whom rely on health care from providers who accept Medicare.
UCHealth and Intermountain Healthcare are creating a 'clinically integrated network' that gives patients whose insurance contracts with it access to their physicians, clinics and hospitals.
Maui Health head Michael Rembis, who oversees three hospitals in the county, has announced his intent to retire this spring. Rembis, who joined Maui Health in 2017, did not explain his retirement in the news release but said in an internal memo to employees, providers, and volunteers that he will remain on Maui and that he looks forward to spending time with his children and grandchildren.
