The nonprofit team of Drexel University and Tower Health has agreed to pay $50 million St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, edging out for-profit California hospital company KPC Global in negotiations that lasted until early Friday morning.

Early one Friday morning two years ago, David Diaz woke up his wife, Marisia, and told her he didn’t feel right. He asked her to pray with him.
