The prior Senate health chairman was a staunch opponent of deregulation.
Charges filed by the Montana Nurses Association on Dec. 5 against Kalispell Regional Healthcare alleging the hospital had violated federal rights after the hospital announced an “employee restructuring” have been withdrawn, according to hospital officials. “After review of the facts, the matter was withdrawn by the MNA and the NLRB closed the investigation,” Mellody Sharpton with Kalispell Regional announced in an email Thursday evening.
Registered nurses at Barton Health intend to go on strike amid ongoing labor negotiations. The nurse bargaining team on Monday night gave their notice of intent to strike on Feb. 15. The decision follows a vote in late Januaryoverwhelmingly in favor of granting the labor team the ability to call for a strike.
