An anonymous donor contributed $30,000 to Luigi Mangione's defense fund, the largest donation the accused killer has received so far. Mangione, 26, is accused of shooting and killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a hotel in Manhattan in December 2024. He was taken into custody in Altoona, Pennsylvania, following a five-day manhunt. He is charged federally with two counts of stalking, one count of murder through use of a firearm and a firearms offense. He is also facing state charges in New York and Pennsylvania. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
