An IT employee committed the biggest financial fraud in University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics history when she defrauded her employer of more than $272,000 over the course of a decade, according to a 206-page state audit released Wednesday. Jennifer Whitmore-Meier, a former department of orthopedics and rehabilitation employee, committed most of the financial fraud by using hospital money to buy 852 technology items that she then sold on eBay for more than $200,000. The items included 288 monitors and 76 Apple Time Capsules, the audit said.
