Half of U.S. doctors have pay tied to 'value-based metrics'

Nearly half of the nation’s physicians report compensation tied to “value-based metrics” as fee-for-service medicine gives way to alternative payment models that link pay to quality and health outcomes, according to a new survey. The biennial survey from The Physicians Foundation shows 47% of physicians have some of their compensation tied to value-based payments .
